About Harry Edelman
I bring decades of experience leading growth, building global partnerships, and helping companies connect strategy with execution. My background spans B2B executive leadership, strategic marketing, executive coaching, and international business development, with a deep understanding of how to turn complex challenges into clear, actionable plans.

Much of my executive journey took place at Heyl & Patterson Inc., a 128-year-old Pittsburgh-based global supplier of custom-engineered capital equipment. Over the years, I held several leadership roles there—Director of Marketing, Senior Vice President, Executive Vice President, COO of an affiliated company, and Board member. Each role added depth to my understanding of how businesses grow and adapt.

At Heyl & Patterson, I helped reshape both internal operations and external market presence. By bringing together teams across engineering, project management, marketing, sales, estimating, and purchasing, I helped create a more aligned, high-performing organization. I’ve always been drawn to bridging technical and business disciplines, and I believe that strong collaboration drives meaningful results.

Strategic Marketing & Global Expansion
One of the most transformative efforts I led was the evolution of the company’s marketing function—from a support role into a strategic engine for growth. That included strategic planning, international development, communications, trade show strategy, branding, digital marketing, and voice-of-the-customer insights.

I also played a lead role in opening new global markets, forging partnerships, and negotiating licensing agreements in India, South Africa, and other regions. My international experience includes business development efforts and presentations across Asia, Africa, Europe, and the Americas, including frequent speaking roles at industry conferences in India.

Executive Coaching & Mentorship
Coaching and mentoring have always been central to my work. Today, through Harry Edelman Associates LLC, I advise executives and business owners on leadership development, strategic marketing, and international growth.

I have served as a mentor in the Entrepreneurial Fellows Program at the University of Pittsburgh’s Institute for Entrepreneurial Excellence and work with MBA students at the Katz School of Business to help them refine and present board-level strategies.

Leadership with PowerLink
As Regional Director for Western Pennsylvania and Chair of Company Advisory Boards and CEO Circles at PowerLink, I’ve had the privilege of guiding over 40 companies through growth planning, operational improvement, and leadership development. I also support more than 100 CEOs in peer advisory circles focused on scaling revenue, building recurring revenue models, and setting measurable, accountability-based goals.
